What would The Commodore Think?

Wife Wendi and I were in Nashville for the Mizzou/Vandy Football game.  Inside the stadium, I grabbed a snack at one of the semi self-serve booths that had six payment kiosks manned by some human helpers.  After I inserted my credit card, the screen asked if I wanted to tip and even though it was self-serve, I added a modest one to spread the "wealth"!  Then when I left, I jokingly asked if the workers got the tips and was told, "No, the University did!"

At first I thought the original Commodore Cornelius Vanderbilt would have been outraged at this fraud on hardworking people, but then I remembered his Robber Baron history and thought that he would have been proud that his namesake University was carrying on his tradition of amassing a fortune at the expense of everyone else!
