The Feel of Money
Son Jeremy and I met in Vegas for a quick trip involving some poker playing. He is a much better player than I. We sat at the same table for about half the time, and afterward he criticized my playing and gave me some great tips involving the size of my initial and final raises. The result was that I was up by about $800. The feeling of cashing in and coming away with my initial deposit and $800 in hundred dollar bills was eerily fun, even though the amount I was up in the latest stock market daily rally was many times that amount. Sometimes holding the win in one's hand in real money beats a better win!
